As a former Chief Risk and Audit executive in the financial services industry, Sherry Williams has spent over 30 years advising and managing various facets of technological, financial, and operational risk. Her interests also led to doctoral studies in business administration and contributions to academia as a Professor of Professional Practice. In that role Sherry combined her accounting education with practical business experience to teach accounting to undergraduate business students.
Sherry holds a Doctorate in Business Administration from Temple University’s Fox School of Business where her dissertation focus was on financial inclusion. Her undergraduate studies were at Central Connecticut State University where she majored in accounting. She is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in New York and Georgia.
Sherry is the mother of two daughters and one son and grandmother to three boys and a girl. She currently resides in the Atlanta, Georgia area. She is passionate about giving back to underserved communities and has held board positions with several mission-driven non-profit organizations. She is a lover of jazz, good wine, global travel and cultural exploration.
