Fausto MirandaFausto Miranda has experience in consulting, investment banking and private equity.

His professional career began in 1991 at McKinsey & Co. In 1994 he joined Goldman Sachs in New York as an associate in its Investment Banking Division, becoming Executive Director in 1998. In late 2000, Fausto left Goldman Sachs and founded Banco Compartamos, serving as Chairman of the Board from October 2000 to April 2006. Banco Compartamos was publicly listed in April 2007.

In 2001, Fausto established and directed Aliquanta, a leading investment-banking boutique specializing in Mexico’s middle-market. He led Aliquanta after 13 years. In August 2014, he founded Roca Ventures (Roca) a personal private equity fund that is a sector and stage agnostic investment firm focused on opportunities that need financial and operational support. Roca targets companies in which it can actively participate and help thrive.

In December 2025 Fausto retired in anticipation of becoming a DCI Fellow. He currently serves on the Boards of Roca Ventures, RocaPort, B-Collection, Stanhome and Investment Placement Group (San Diego, CA). He previously served on several company boards in Mexico and the United States, Chaired the Board of Special Olympics Mexico and served on the Boards of the Association of Rice Alumni (Rice University) and of the Alumni Association of Stanford’s GSB.

Fausto has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Managerial Studies from Rice University and a Stanford MBA. He is also a Harvard Business School Alum. Fausto is fully bilingual in English and Spanish and proficient in French and Italian.
