Rebecca Van Dyck is the former Chief Operating Officer for Reality Labs at Meta (formerly Facebook). Becca’s career has been defined by her roles at some of the world’s most iconic and influential global brands. In her roles at Apple, Facebook and Reality Labs, she has been at the center of some of the most significant technological shifts of the last two decades – the shift to mobile, the impact of social media on our economies and democracies, and the introductions of new technologies such as AR, VR, the metaverse. She joined the board of the New York Times in 2015 to help inform their digital transformation.

Becca was previously the Chief Marketing Officer for AR/VR at Facebook and before that the VP of Consumer Marketing at Facebook. Before joining Facebook, Becca was the Chief Marketing Officer for Levi’s® and a Senior Director of worldwide Marketing & Communications at Apple, Inc. Becca began her career in advertising where she was the NIKE Global Account Director at Wieden + Kennedy in Portland, OR.

Becca currently sits on the board of The New York Times and is a board of trustees for Macalester College, her alma mater. She is an advisory board member for Strava and working to bring a professional women’s soccer team to the Bay Area.

Becca lives in Palo Alto with her husband, Erik and their two daughters. They moved to Barcelona in 2017 for a family “semester abroad.” Becca continues to play competitive soccer every Sunday.
