Kate Adam Coleman, founder of the Coleman Consulting Group, LLC, provides medical and legal analysis and strategic recommendations in complex litigation. Over the past twenty-five years, she has focused on vaccine litigation, commercial and tort cases, and advising Wall Street portfolio managers and analysts on pertinent healthcare related class action lawsuits.

Kate began her career as a registered nurse practicing in a community hospital setting in Chicago, Illinois. Realizing the health insurance industry indirectly dictated the quality and type of care patients received, she applied her medical experience and became a licensed health insurance broker and marketing representative for a national HMO. Thereafter, she attended law school and launched her legal career as a trial attorney through the United States Department of Justice Attorney General’s Honors Program, with the Constitutional and Specialized Torts Section, in Washington, D.C. Kate developed an expertise defending cases filed under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program and currently is supporting the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services addressing COVID-19 claims.

Kate grew up in Flossmoor, Illinois and attended Georgetown University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She earned her law degree from the University of Illinois Chicago John Marshall Law School. She currently lives in Menlo Park, California and is married to Doug Coleman, General Counsel for Reliable Robotics Corporation, a Silicon Valley start-up. They have three adult children.
