Emerson Leite has over 25 years of experience in investment research and advisory in Latin America and is currently a venture and equity investor. For over a decade he was Head of Latin America Equities at Credit Suisse, a “Top 3” franchise at the time, with a team of approximately 100 professionals in Brazil, Mexico, USA and England, serving global institutional investors. During his tenor he led and participated in the execution of over 150 equity deals in Latin America, helping to raise over US$100 billion.

Prior to that, Emerson was Equities Research Head, Strategist and Energy Analyst for Credit Suisse in Latin America, receiving several top rankings awards. He was also a member of the Executive Board of Credit Suisse Brazil and of the Americas Equities Management and Operating Committees.

He acted for five years as a member of the board of Instituto Credit Suisse Hedging-Griffo, a non-profit responsible for social investments, with a focus on children, education, healthcare and support. Emerson currently serves as a member of the Supervisory Board of the Brazilian Association of Investment Professionals.

Emerson graduated in Electronics Engineering with honors in Mathematics at Instituto Tecnológico de Aeronáutica (ITA 1996) in Brazil, is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA 2000) and is an alumnus of the Stanford Graduate School of Business (2021). Beyond equity and social investing, Emerson is passionate about technology, science, neuroscience and mathematics, having represented Brazil twice in the International Mathematics Olympiads (IMO). He enjoys marathon and trail running and lives in São Paulo with his wife Tatiana and their two children.
