Marcus Wedner is a long-time private equity investor who splits his time between Miami and Winnetka, IL. Until 2017 he was a managing partner with CIVC Partners, a $2 billion middle-market private equity sponsor headquartered in Chicago. He led transactions in the media, manufacturing, and marketing services sectors and remains with the firm as a senior advisor. Marcus is also a senior advisor with Reason Venture Partners, a partnership committing family office capital to early and late-stage consumer, software, and blockchain companies and funds.
A Studio City, CA native and a graduate of UCLA (1984) and Harvard Business School (1988), he has been active as a political volunteer and as a board member of not-for-profits focused on mental health and public libraries. Marcus is married with two adult children and enjoys road and mountain biking, golf, yoga, and padel, a racquet sport.
