Jon Carter has been a Senior Partner at Egon Zehnder, a global executive search firm based in Zurich, Switzerland. During his almost 30-year tenure he founded the Silicon Valley office and led the Technology practice. With a focus on the recruitment of Board members and CEOs for both public and private companies in the technology sector, he has advised such organizations as Alphabet, Intel, Microsoft and a host of earlier stage growth companies.
He is passionate about the benefits, and cognizant of the challenges that innovation brings to individuals and society. As such he has worked with many founders and CEOs to build the leadership teams of technology companies that create lasting impact.
Jon is a citizen of three countries and a passionate world traveler. He has been an avid motorcyclist most of his life, and has ridden across mountains and deserts on six continents. He is married to Martha Josephson, is father of two daughters, and lives in Portola Valley, California. Jon has a bachelor’s degree in computer science from Cambridge University and a masters from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
