Terry (Yongmin) Hu has over three decades of experience in the finance world. He is chairman and CEO of Twin Peaks Capital Limited, a Hong Kong based investment firm that practices lifelong learning and value investing in long term compounders. Before establishing Twin Peaks Capital, Terry was a Co-Founder and Co-President of FountainVest Partners, an Asia based private equity firm with multi-billion assets under management. Prior to co-founding FountainVest Partners in 2007, Terry was a Managing Director at Temasek Holdings of Singapore. He was a member of Temasek’s global investment committee, and head of its real estate investments. Previously, Terry had been an investment banker with Credit Suisse and Bear Stearns in Hong Kong and Shanghai for over 10 years.
Terry is currently a DCI Fellow at Stanford for the academic year 2025-2026. He graduated from Fudan University in Shanghai with a Bachelor of Art Degree in English Language and Literature. He was previously a global affiliate visiting scholar at the Walter H. Shorenstein Asia-Pacific Research Center (Shorenstein APARC) at Stanford University (2019-20).
Terry is also the founder of Peak II Foundation (Hong Kong based) that is dedicated to supporting underprivileged people, particularly young people, in pursuing opportunities for their education and personal growth, and in maintaining their mental health.
He enjoys reading, outdoors (in particularly, hiking), traveling, and meditation.
