Tim Sullivan was a Senior Director of Engineering at Google for more than 15 years. He led the Google Domains business as General Manager, with P&L responsibility and management of the Engineering, Product, Business, Marketing, Partnerships, Policy, and Program Management teams. His previous roles included managing the development and launch of the YouTube Music, Kids, and Gaming apps, and leading the development of nearly all of Google’s Android applications in the period that the platform grew from 100 thousand to 1.8 billion active users.
Prior to Google, Tim developed software and led teams at a variety of consumer device and service startups and then at the companies that acquired them, including Microsoft, Dell, and AOL. He began his career at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, and spent three of his twelve years there living in Italy and doing research with a team at the University of Pisa.
Tim received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in electrical engineering from Stanford. He and his wife Patricia met on their high school tennis team in Butte, Montana, are avid cyclists, and have two wonderful sons who are pursuing careers in the arts in Los Angeles.
