Anne Ackerley spent a long career in financial services, focusing mainly on preparing people for retirement and supporting women’s leadership. She was most recently the Head of BlackRock’s US Retirement Group, where she helped people through their 401K retirement plans. Anne is proud of her work launching Lifepath Paycheck™, an innovative solution that helps retirees by providing them with steady income and financial security.
Anne began her career at Merrill Lynch, as an investment banker for 15 years, before joining BlackRock, which was a small company back then. She stayed for the next 24 years, as BlackRock grew to become the largest asset manager in the world. She served as Chief Operating Officer for the Global Client Group, Chief Marketing Officer, and Head of the mutual fund business. She also played a groundbreaking role as co-founder of BlackRock’s Women’s Network (WIN) and the Financial Inclusion Network (FIT).
Anne earned a BA in economics and an MBA from Harvard. She is currently on the board of Northwestern Mutual and the Mosaic Mental Health Association. Anne has held advisory roles at the Aspen Institute Forum on Retirement Savings and the World Economic Forum’s Longevity Economy Steering Group, and won numerous awards for her industry leadership.
Anne lives in New York City with her husband David Lewis. They love spending family time with their son who teaches music in the DC area and with their daughter and granddaughter who live in Berlin. Anne enjoys mentoring young people, gardening and reading modern fiction books.
