Headshot of Sarah Hagemann, DCI Partner 2025Sarah is a curious, purpose-driven professional with a background spanning hospitality and event management, consulting, private equity, family business and social impact.

Throughout her career, she has worked in dynamic environments where connecting people, navigating complexity and turning ideas into action were at the heart of her work. She has held roles at McKinsey & Company, EMH Partners, Schörghuber Group and Armira, most recently as Senior Manager and Executive Assistant to the Managing Partner.

Alongside her professional career, Sarah has maintained a strong commitment to social impact. As a Board Member of McKinsey for Children, she was responsible for Administration & Finance and supported education projects for disadvantaged children worldwide, while contributing to an organizational transformation that increased active membership 15-fold within 18 months.

In 2025, Sarah joined Stanford’s Distinguished Careers Institute to broaden her perspective and create space for learning and exploration. During her year at Stanford, she explored topics ranging from social justice and equity to mindfulness, entrepreneurship, go-to-market and AI, while also learning Spanish.

Following DCI, Sarah is spending the coming months in Spain as part of an independent research and exploration project on the future of tourism. She plans to learn from local communities and businesses and explore how destinations can balance the benefits of tourism with the needs of local communities, nature and cultural heritage.

She is particularly curious about how technology and AI could contribute to more personal, meaningful travel while creating value for local communities and businesses.

Sarah looks forward to connecting with people working at the intersection of travel, hospitality, community, social impact, technology and innovation.
