Nina Maldonado is the CEO and founder of Impact Communications LATAM, a boutique consulting firm based in Bogotá, Colombia. She launched the firm to support U.S. government and non-government organizations expanding into South American markets. For over two decades, she has led strategic initiatives in international marketing, trade development, and communications—fostering long-term cross-border relationships and driving market growth across multiple industries.
Nina holds a BA from the University of Colorado, Boulder, and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management, with additional studies in Geneva and Madrid. Her work has included export promotion for sectors such as cotton, agriculture, and consumer goods, most notably directing South American operations for COTTON USA for more than 20 years.
Beyond her firm, Nina contributes her leadership to nonprofit boards and advisory roles, including Make-A-Wish International, YPO, EO, and the Global Citizens Youth Initiative. She is recognized for her strategic thinking, cross-cultural insight, and people-first approach to leadership. Her passion lies in creating experiences that spark reflection, resilience, and connection for communities in Latin America and beyond.
In her personal time, Nina enjoys tennis, yoga, hiking, biking, and expressing her creativity through cooking alongside her husband and two adult children. Travel remains a meaningful source of inspiration and perspective in her life. She believes in reinvention, new beginnings, and the lasting impact of helping others grow.
