Sheila Wright was previously the founder and CEO of Ann Williams Group, a consumer goods manufacturer with global distribution. Under her leadership, the company grew from a single product idea into a highly regarded category leader that set the bar for continuous innovation, superior design, and an exceptional consumer experience. Sheila spearheaded the creation of hundreds of unique products across six distinctive brands, earning over 100 industry product awards. She also developed a collection of proprietary products and built an impressive intellectual property portfolio featuring dozens of utility patents. Over the course of 12 years, she led the company through continuous growth while making millions of kids and adults happier and more creative. Sheila exited the company in 2021 through an acquisition by private equity.
Sheila is originally from the Detroit area and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from Lawrence Technological University. She began her career in the automotive industry, working in advanced product development at General Motors for three years before moving to Stellantis (formerly Chrysler). During her 15 years there, she worked in product design, development, and project management. In the last five years at Stellantis, Sheila worked part-time while balancing parenthood. She then paused her career for four marvelous years as a full-time mom.
Sheila is sharing her DCI journey with her husband, Dan. They have two children, and together, they enjoy epic hiking adventures and some very competitive euchre. Sheila also enjoys biking, pickleball, and making things.
