Beth Hirshman believes strongly in community, education, and mentorship. Noticing a need for both her and her contemporaries to gather and learn about emerging topics, she co-founded a company called Current Conversations, which brought in local experts to educate the group and facilitate in-person discussions in a salon-style setting. Beth has also worked with multiple college access programs and still mentors several of her students. Most recently, she became a patient advocate so she can help people understand and work through medical insurance benefits, claims, and denials.
Beth has a BS in Accountancy from the University of Illinois and an MBA from the University of Chicago. Early in her career, Beth worked for Coopers & Lybrand as an auditor and in marketing for the Dun & Bradstreet companies.
Beth loves gardening, cooking, traveling, and long walks. But her primary passion is her family; she and Neil visit their children and granddaughter as often as possible.
