Marie-Claude WarnotteMarie-Claude is a French-speaking Belgian who grew up in Brussels. Fluent in four languages, and a qualified Belgian lawyer, she won a scholarship to study at the Bologna Center in Italy of John Hopkins University before starting her career in Human Resources (HR) in Belgium.

In her late twenties, Marie-Claude moved to London to take up an opportunity as an employment and pensions lawyer with a leading UK law firm and never looked back. She returned to work in HR with several multinational companies, including Motorola and Flutter. Marie-Claude travelled extensively with work in emerging markets throughout Eastern Europe, Russia and in Africa. She finished her paid career as Global Head of HR at CMC Markets, a FTSE-250 financial services company based in the City of London.

Marie-Claude is a trustee and provides a HR support role for a drug and alcohol not-for-profit charity which focuses on the non-medical aspects of recovery for long-term addicts. She also qualified as an executive coach and mentors ex-offenders to reintegrate into the employment market.

Marie-Claude developed a passion for Italy from her time in Bologna with John Hopkins and, with her love for classical music, she founded a small chamber music festival where she opens her summer house in the Tuscan hills to students from the Siena Conservatoire for master classes and public chamber music concerts.

Marie-Claude has two young, bearded sons, one working as an engineer, and the other studying philosophy at university.
