Neil HirshmanNeil Hirshman is a partner at the law firm of Kirkland & Ellis LLP, focusing his practice on transactions that involve intellectual property and technology, including mergers & acquisitions, commercial agreements, and outsourcing.

Given his work on outsourcing transactions, he has for years served on the Strategic Advisory Board (most recently as Chair of its Executive Committee) of the leading global industry organization, International Association of Outsourcing Professionals. Neil is also a co-founder and co-chair of the organization’s Center for Social Impact, which is focused on creating real and lasting impacts on communities and businesses alike through innovative programs like impact sourcing. The Center champions the inclusion of marginalized groups, offering vital employment opportunities and fostering economic growth.

Neil loves working with children, loves the city of Chicago, and loves sports – as a participant, coach, and fan. Combining those interests, for nearly 20 years Neil was a member, and is the former Chair of the Board of Directors of Urban Initiatives, a Chicago nonprofit that leverages the power of sport and play to empower youth in under-resourced communities to achieve academic success, develop social-emotional skills, and build social capital.

Neil received a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and a JD from Harvard Law School.

He enjoys traveling, the outdoors, music, and more than anything else, spending time with his wife, children, and granddaughter.
