Kira Dales has been a strategy and operations executive for 25 years, and has held leadership roles in groundbreaking technology companies including Adobe, Google, eBay/Paypal and HP. She has been at the center of key strategic decisions and pivots: shifts to Cloud/API platforms, monetization, and expansion into new markets. Her passion is for driving business transformations and accelerating scaling. Kira has a colorful history across the full stack (HW, Platforms, SW, Services), and multiple industries (SaaS/Cloud, marketplaces, e-commerce), fostering her integration and E2E systems thinking.
Most recently Kira was VP of Operations for Adobe Cloud Platform, building capabilities to transform Adobe into a cloud services company at scale. She was the business lead converting Google maps from a free product to >$1B revenue in year 1, and built and led StratOps for Google’s Global Tech Support. She held executive positions at eBay/Paypal, where she redesigned company strategic planning, led StratOps for multiple functions, and ran the strategic analysis to spin off Paypal. In her early career she worked in HP’s Server and Printing businesses, launched a company from her Stanford research, and was an environmental engineer and Professional Engineer.
A champion for women in tech, Kira has sponsored multiple corporate programs, and is on the board of Dress for Success. Kira has Engineering degrees from Cornell and Stanford. She lives in Los Gatos with her husband and two rescue cats, and has two college boys. She is an avid traveler, a budding photographer, and an unabashed foodie.
