David Placek is the Founder and President of Lexicon Branding. David is responsible for driving the strategic and creative vision for Lexicon. Under his leadership, the company has continued to focus on the development of brand names and brand architectures that support business and marketing objectives. Fast Company magazine claims “no branding agency has generated more envy than Lexicon Branding.”
Prior to Lexicon, David was an executive at Foote, Cone and Belding and a staff member of the United States Senate Commerce Committee. David has also served on the US Presidential Committee to select White House Fellows. He is also the managing Director and winemaker of River Lane vineyard, a boutique winery in Sonoma’s Alexander Valley. In addition to serving as an advisor and investor to several Silicon Valley startups, David also lectures on creativity at both Stanford’s GSB and UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business.
He is a graduate of UCLA with a BA in Political Science. David lives in Mill Valley, California with his wife and two daughters. The entire family enjoys fly fishing and cycling.
