Physician, Pediatric Ophthalmologist
Glenview, IL
Minou Colis, MD is a physician and board-certified ophthalmologist specializing in pediatric ophthalmology and adult strabismus. Following her fellowship, she started and grew a prominent private practice for 36 years, often taking care of multiple generations of families. She was on staff at several hospitals, including Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, and Northwestern.
Minou received her BA from Northwestern University and her MD from Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at Northwestern University Medical School and her fellowship in pediatric ophthalmology at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago.
As her father was a project manager for the United Nations, Minou lived for many years in West Africa and Asia. This made for a fascinating upbringing. Most summers, however, were spent reconnecting with family in France.
Minou and her husband, George, were married in 1981 and have two adult children. Their son graduated from Stanford Graduate School of Business in 2016.
