Daniel Wright was the VP of Finance, Sales, and Operations at Ann Williams Group. He joined the company while it was an early-stage start-up. During his eight years there, Dan successfully led the company through significant domestic and international sales growth while optimizing global operations. He also led the company through due diligence and acquisition by private equity in 2021. Dan continues to be involved as a mentor and consultant in the industry and is currently an active investor with the Northern Michigan Angels.
Prior to joining Ann Williams Group, Dan held leadership positions for twelve years at General Motors, within the energy and utility services division. Before that, he worked for six years in chemical sales and process engineering across multiple industries.
Dan is originally from Canada and earned his degree in Chemical Engineering from Queen’s University in Kingston, Ontario. During his time at Queen’s, he played on the national champion football team and was later inducted into the school’s football Hall of Fame. Dan earned his MS in Strategic Management from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University.
Dan and his spouse, Sheila, have two children. Their son, a recent Purdue University graduate, works in biotech, while their daughter, a recent University of Michigan graduate, is pursuing her MS at Johns Hopkins University. Dan enjoys spending time with his family, traveling, hiking, and biking.
