Former Executive Director, Barristers Club of San Francisco
San Mateo, CA
Ann Coulson is the former Executive Director of the Barristers Club of San Francisco, where for nearly two decades she led the club’s board of directors, 30 committees, and organized legal education seminars and social events for its 4,000 attorney members.
She came out of retirement to set up and oversee the creation of databases and websites for the newly created Pacific Council and Watershed Lands Stewardship Council and its associated Youth Investment Program. The Council is responsible for developing and implementing a land conservation plan for the protection of 140,000 acres of land located in the Sierra Nevada and Cascade mountain watersheds and on the Carizzo Plains. The Youth Investment Program connects at-risk youth with the outdoors to foster development of the next generation of land stewards.
Ann is a supporter of many animal charities, including the San Francisco SPCA Hearing Dog program, the San Francisco Zoological Society and The Nature Conservancy’s orangutan habitat project in Indonesia.
She is a proud native of Cape Cod, Massachusetts but fell in love with San Francisco after moving there after graduating from UMass Dartmouth with a BFA.
Ann lives in San Mateo Park with her husband Craig Tighe and golden retrievers Finnegan and Trixie.
