Bob Burke is co-founder of three real estate organizations: Prologis, previously known as AMB Property; IHP Capital Partners, a leading homebuilding finance company; and Metropolitan Real Estate Equity Management, sold to the Carlyle Group. Prior to co-founding AMB, he was a real estate partner with the law firm Morrison & Foerster and served for two years as that firm’s Managing Partner for Operations.
Bob is a former Stanford Trustee and has served on the Board of the Stanford Management Company and Board of Governors of Stanford Associates. He served on the Law School Board of Visitors, was chair of the Leadership Council of Stanford’s Bing Overseas Studies and chair of the Leadership Council of Stanford’s K-12 Education Initiative. He received his BA from Stanford University and his JD from Stanford Law School.
His volunteer commitments have included the investment committees of the Hewlett Foundation, the UCSF Foundation, and the UN Foundation, and he has served on the boards of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco and the Presidio Trust and the Board of Overseers of the UCSF Foundation. He is also the former chair of the Board of the Pension Real Estate Association and a former member of the Board of Governors of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.
Bob and his wife, Katherine States Burke, live in Woodside, California, where they are visited regularly by their adult children.
