Nora Wu is the former Vice Chairwoman and Global Human Capital Leader for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) International Ltd. As the first woman from Asia to hold this global leadership role in the company’s 165-year history, Nora was responsible for driving and leading the human capital vision and strategy for the firm’s global network of 230,00 people in 157 countries.

Prior to this role, Nora served on the Global Board for PwC International. Throughout her career, she has assumed various leadership roles throughout the PwC network. She was the Asia Pacific Human Capital Leader and a member of the PwC Asia Executive Team. Nora was also the PwC China Lead Partner for the Shanghai practice and Central China Market Leader. Nora has 28 years of cross-industry business, talent and government consulting experience. In her various leadership capacities, she has advised corporate clients ranging from small companies to large Chinese state-owned enterprises and multinational corporations in areas such as China-based investment, mergers and acquisitions, divestitures, corporate restructuring, capital market and talent strategies.

Nora is a strong advocate for women’s leadership and issues of diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Nora has served on the PwC Global Diversity Leadership Committee, initiated the annual PwC Women in Business Leadership Roundtable in Shanghai and was a member of the American Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai’s Women’s Executive Network. In 2016 she was named onto the Financial Times UPstanding Leader’s List of the Top 100 Ethnic-Minority Executives in the US and UK.

Nora remains passionate about mentoring and giving back to her communities. She currently serves as a board member for the YK Pao School in Shanghai and acts as an adviser to young entrepreneurs in China.
