Marcelo Barbará is the Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Lanx Capital, a private investment company founded in 2003, and Co-Founder and Board Member of re.green, a company created in 2021 committed to restoring one million hectares of tropical forest using scalable, science-based methods that generate measurable benefits for biodiversity and carbon.

With extensive experience in financial markets, he also serves as a Member of the Investment Committee at the private equity firm Principia Capital Partners and sits on the Boards of several startups.

He was Co-Founder of Cambuhy Investimentos, an investment holding company with significant stakes in both public and private companies, and served for ten years as CEO and Board Member of RB Capital. Earlier in his career, he was a Partner at Banco Garantia and a Managing Director at Credit Suisse. At Banco Garantia, he worked as a Fixed Income Trader and COO, and at Credit Suisse, he served as Head of Latin America for Fixed Income, FX, and Derivatives, as well as a member of the Brazil Executive Committee.

He also served as a Director at Anbima and was a member of its Monetary Policy and Ethics Committees.
In his pro bono work, Marcelo is Co-Founder and Board Member of Instituto PROA since 2007, a nonprofit organization dedicated to education and youth empowerment in Brazil.

Marcelo holds a B.A. in Economics from FGV/RJ, a Postgraduate Degree in Finance from FGV/SP, completed the Owner/President Management Program at Harvard University.
