Independent Philanthropy Consultant and Advisor
Lakeville, Connecticut
Juliette Feeney-Timsit is a dual French/US citizen and was a board member and Director (France) of the French American Charitable Trust (FACT), a family foundation based in San Francisco and Paris that closed in 2012 after spending down its endowment over 20 years. FACT helped support and develop networks of community-based groups that educate, organize and empower people to actively participate in developing policies that directly affect their lives.
She graduated from Cornell University and has a Public Law degree from the Assas School of Law (Paris). Juliette is secretary and board member of Media Impact Funders, a network committed to effective use and support of public interest media and is a member of Impact Partners, a documentary equity investment network that supports pressing social issues through engaging storytelling. Under the banner of a new fund (After-Fact), her current initiatives center on strengthening the philanthropy sector in France, facilitating exchanges between the French and United States foundation sector and supporting the development of grassroots community organizing in Europe and the United States.
Juliette has been active at Stanford University as a past student of the Continuing Studies program, as well as Chair of the United Nations Association Film Festival (UNAFF) and is looking forward to returning to the Bay Area.
She and her husband Jean, a photographer based in Paris, have two daughters.
