Formerly a partner at Accenture, a vice president at UnitedHealth Group and currently a managing director at Manatt Health, Robert (Bob) Rebitzer has more than 30 years experience leading and advising organizations seeking to lower healthcare costs and improve access to care. His clients have included academic medical centers, health systems, health plans, local governments and philanthropies. He has also served as the founding chief operating officer for Stanford University’s Clinical Excellence Research Center. His work has emphasized strategy development, organization design and process reengineering. He began his working life as a community organizer and likes to think that he has brought an organizer’s sensibility to all his subsequent endeavors.
In addition to his professional commitments, Bob also serves on nonprofit boards, including El Camino Hospital and the Center for Care Innovation. Bob has two daughters, and lives in Palo Alto, California with his wife, Jackie Schneider. He received a BS from the Honors Biology program of the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign and an MBA from the UCLA Anderson School of Management. Bob enjoys road biking, hiking and practicing Chinese martial arts.
