Julie Nordstrom has spent over 20 years in governance roles for several non profit organizations in the healthcare and child welfare sectors. Her work has involved leading organizations through times of significant organizational expansion, integration and industry change.

She previously chaired the University of Washington health system board, and the University of Washington Medical Center board and currently serves on the University of Washington Medicine Board. Additionally Julie serves on the board for the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation (IHME) and is a trustee for Save the Children, US. Julie is also active in philanthropy and invests in women-owned businesses.

Julie is passionate about healthcare equity and working to give children a healthy start in life. While at DCI, she looks forward to learning more about how global health policy can help further progress in these areas.

Julie received a BA in Political Science from the University of Washington and her JD from Seattle University. She and her husband, Erik, reside in Seattle, WA and have three adult children.
