Ken King has over 30 years of experience specializing in defending and advising business clients in complex litigation in product liability matters, most recently as a partner in the Health Sciences Department of Troutman Pepper in its New York office.
Ken has been involved in high-profile cases that have helped define U.S. product liability law and has represented major pharmaceutical and medical device companies on a wide range of products. He also served as lead trial counsel for a Fortune 500 technology company defending claims involving its computer keyboards. There, Ken developed considerable expertise regarding upper-extremity disorders; now he is a member of the American Society for Surgery of the Hand. He has served in law firm management and has always been active in mentoring others.
Throughout his career, Ken has devoted considerable effort to pro bono and community service. He co-directs an award-winning program in New York Supreme Court, collaborating with a firm client to defend local residents in foreclosure cases. He has also served 30 years on the board, including 10 years as Chair, of Hands in 4 Youth, assisting underprivileged New York-area children.
Ken grew up in Franklin Square, New York. He earned his law degree from George Washington University Law School where he was a member of the Law Review. Ken received his BA from Dartmouth College graduating cum laude with high distinction in History.
Ken maintains his interest in history and also devotes his time to fitness; he is an avid golfer and former marathon runner.
