Mimi Haas is President of the Mimi and Peter Haas Fund, a position she has held since August 1981. As President of the Mimi and Peter Haas Fund, Mrs. Haas has been deeply committed to ensuring that low-income young children and their families receive access to high-quality early care and education as well as health services in San Francisco. With the overwhelming evidence of the importance of early development and education, Mrs. Haas has been steadfast in supporting programs that lay the emotional, physical and intellectual foundation for every child to enter kindergarten ready to learn.
Mrs. Haas serves on the Board of Directors of Levi Strauss & Co. She is Vice Chair of the Board of Trustees and Chair of the Committee on Painting and Sculpture of the New York Museum of Modern Art; is Vice Chair of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art; and serves on the Board of Trustees of Lincoln Center. Mrs. Haas is a member of the National Advisory Board of the Haas Center for Public Service at Stanford University, a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, and a member of the Global Philanthropists Circle. Mrs. Haas was previously a director of The Terry Sanford Institute for Public Policy at Duke University, San Francisco Symphony, San Francisco University High School, Summerbridge National, and Children Now.
