Maggie Bedecarré has always loved being around horses and for many years she was an accomplished amateur competitive jumper rider. She currently volunteers at the National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy (NCEFT) in Woodside, CA where she previously was a staff member managing horses in both the hippotherapy and veterans’ programs.
Maggie received a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Wheaton College in Norton, MA. She is also a proud alumna of the Sacred Heart Schools in Greenwich, CT and Atherton, CA.
Before becoming a mother and raising three amazing children, Maggie had a career in book publishing in New York where she held a number of positions at Praeger Publishers and McGraw Hill and she was Director of Publicity for the New York Times Book Company. She also worked as an Account Executive at BBDO Advertising in New York and San Francisco.
Maggie is a brain injury survivor and her participation in the DCI program was an integral part of her successful recovery.
