Christopher Li is the former President and Chief Investment Officer (CIO) for Lockheed Martin Investment Management Company (LMIMCo) where he oversaw the management of $75 billions of retirement trust assets.

Chris began his career as a statistician for the Hong Kong government in 1983 where he managed a staff of over 4,500 for the 1986 census operation. He joined The Dow Chemical Company in 1990 as Financial Risk Manager. Chris left Dow in 1994 to join MetLife Investment Management Company as Managing Director. In 1996, he joined Caxton Corporation as a hedge fund manager. Chris rejoined Dow in 1999 and was promoted to President of Diamond Capital Management Inc. in 2001. He joined LMIMCo in 2007 as CIO. Chris was promoted to President and CIO in 2011.

He was a member of the Investment Advisory Committee of Microsoft Corporation, a member of the IEEE Investment Committee and a Trustee of the Stanford Business School Trust. Chris serves as a board member of Orchard Alliance. He is a member of the ICONIQ Advisory Council.

Chris was named Large Corporate Pension CIO of the Year in the Institutional Investor’s 2010 U.S. Investment Management Awards. He was named CIO of the Year in the 2016 Investor Intelligence Awards.

He holds an MBA from Stanford University, a Master in Statistics and a Bachelor of Social Science in Economics and Statistics from the University of Hong Kong. He is a CFA charterholder.

Chris and his wife Constance have three children; two are attending Stanford and one graduated from Stanford in 2019.
