Jeanine Riband has had a diverse international professional and personal career, working in a variety of roles while raising a family in five countries: Venezuela, the United States, Spain, the United Kingdom and Switzerland.
Jeanine started her career working in marketing with Procter & Gamble (P&G) in Venezuela, and later with P&G in Madrid, Spain. She leveraged her marketing skills to consult with Ajinomoto (Japanese corporation) and worked with Goldberg Marchesano, an ad agency in Washington DC, supporting IKEA’s early expansion in the US. She also consulted with Amazonat Eco-lodge, (Brazilian ecotourism resort) and served as head of communications in the startup committee of the International Dual Career Network, an initiative spearheaded by Nestle, Ernst & Young and various international companies to help trailing spouses find employment in Switzerland. In 2012 Jeanine started up a new venture called “Imagine-Creativity Workshops,” designed to help individuals discover and develop their creative potential using different art media as exercise tools.
A native of Lima, Peru, Jeanine grew up in Caracas, Venezuela and obtained a BS degree from Cornell University. She has created and led various student-teacher-parent initiatives in the International School in Egham, UK and the International School of Lausanne, Switzerland. Jeanine is a citizen of Peru, the United States and Switzerland. She enjoys traveling, yoga, art and hiking with her dogs. She has been rowing (crew) in a women’s rowing group since 2011. She is married to Herb Riband, and they are very proud parents of two adult children who live and work in New York and San Francisco.
