Ernie Parizeau is an adjunct professor of the Practice in Entrepreneurship at Middlebury College. He previously taught entrepreneurship courses at Babson College and Franklin Olin College of Engineering. Ernie was a partner at Norwest Venture Partners where he worked from 1984 to 2007. He invested in early-stage companies in the software, semiconductor, communications, healthcare, education and retail industries.
Ernie is the chair of The Cape Eleuthera Foundation, which raises financial resources for three institutions founded by the same social entrepreneurs on the island of Eleuthera in The Bahamas:
– The Island School, a challenging, three-month, experiential educational program for high school students from around the world
– The Cape Eleuthera Institute – a scientific research facility
– The Deep Creek Middle School – a private middle school educating Bahamian students.
He is a member of the advisory board of the Dartmouth Entrepreneurship Network. Ernie is also vice chair of the board of the Noble and Greenough School, an independent school in Dedham, Massachusetts.
Ernie graduated from Dartmouth College with an AB degree in engineering sciences (1979) and MBA (1984). For fun, Ernie enjoys rowing and flying. Ernie and his wife, Kim, have four children and live in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
