Kim Parizeau is chair of the Middlebury College Board of Trustees, where she has been a trustee for 16 years. Kim has helped lead the board through several significant transitions at the school including the acquisition of The Monterey Institute of International Studies in Monterey, CA (now Middlebury Institute of International Studies at Monterey), and the recruitment of the college’s first female president, Dr. Laurie Patton. She also helped guide an innovative restructuring of the governance model at Middlebury

Kim was an advertising account executive with Dancer Fitzgerald Sample in New York City and later worked as a marketing executive at General Mills in Minneapolis. After her first child was born, Kim co-founded Nanny Solutions Inc., a childcare services firm that she later sold. Kim won awards from MasterCard International and Savvy Magazine for her entrepreneurial work in the field of childcare.

Kim has also served as a trustee of the Kingswood Oxford School in West Hartford, Connecticut and on the Board of Managers of the Maria Mitchell Association in Nantucket, Massachusetts. She was a member of the Leadership Council of the Horizons Initiative for homeless children and families in Boston.

Kim graduated from Middlebury College with a BA in history (1979) and from The Tuck School at Dartmouth with an MBA (1984). She and her husband, Ernie, have four children and live in Wellesley, Massachusetts.
