Jodee Kozlak is a global executive with deep expertise in business strategy, workforce management, organizational development and leadership. She joined Alibaba Group in February 2016 in a newly created role to help drive Alibaba’s international expansion outside of China. As its first global senior vice president of Human Resources, she created the worldwide talent and capability strategies for Alibaba to globalize and served as a senior business advisor to the Office of the CEO.
Previously, Jodee was executive vice president and chief human resources officer for Target Corporation for almost a decade, and comprehensively set the strategy for Target’s global workforce of over 350,000 team members during an era of profitable growth for the company. During her 15-year Target career, Jodee held other key leadership roles including general counsel for the International Owned Brands Sourcing Business, general counsel for Labor and Employment, and trustee of the Target Foundation.
Jodee was a partner in the boutique law firm Greene Espel, PLLP, focusing on complex business litigation, and a senior associate at the international law firm Oppenheimer Wolf & Donnelly. She started her career in the audit department of Arthur Andersen & Co.
Jodee serves on the boards of CHRobinson Worldwide, Aspen Dental and Talent Sky. She is an advisory board member to the Stanford Center on Longevity, and past president of the Guthrie Theater Board.
Jodee received a BA in accounting from the College of St. Thomas in 1985 and a JD from the University of Minnesota in 1990. She and her husband Nick have two adult children and live in North Lake Tahoe, California.
