Engaging at Stanford

Intergenerational Engagement

A range of Stanford Centers, Institutes, and Programs have identified opportunities for DCI Fellows to mentor, coach, and advise Stanford students on a range of topics, including career choices, life-work balance and entrepreneurial ventures. New initiatives are developed each year based on requests from these Centers, Institutes, and Programs, and new connections are always welcome. Interested Stanford Students, Faculty, and Institutes can complete this form to connect.

Impact in the Classroom

At the request of Stanford students and faculty, DCI Fellows may serve as speakers, mentors, or coaches in the classroom.  DCI can help identify Fellows or alumni with specific skills and experience that will meet the unique needs of the course or student project.

Supporting Student Organizations

DCI Fellows are frequently invited to interact with student organizations as mentors, career panelists, judges, and coaches.  From 1:1 coffee dates to large mixers, we are happy to identify Fellows who are a good fit for your campus event.

Engaging with Entrepreneurs

DCI Fellows and alumni have supported Stanford students and faculty engaged in start-ups, accelerators, and classes focused on entrepreneurship, including Cardinal Ventures, Stanford Venture Studios, Lean Launchpad, and the Stanford Center on Longevity Design Challenge. DCI Fellows’ diverse range of business and technical experience makes them particularly well-suited to provide insights and connections in support of potential new ventures.

Supporting Future Leaders

In partnership with the Office of the Vice Provost for Graduate Education, DCI’s LeadX offers leadership development in a group format for Stanford graduate students. DCI Alumni facilitate curriculum-based discussions with a selected cohort of students for a period of about six months. These intergenerational exercises allow students the opportunity to explore their own leadership style and values. Learn more here.
