Kristin Goldthorpe
Communications Manager
Kristin Goldthorpe has been a member of the Stanford University Distinguished Careers Institute team since “Day One” (December 2013). She leads the strategy and execution of external communications. In this role, she brings the transformative stories of DCI’s impact on individuals and communities to life, amplifying the Institute’s influence on and beyond the campus.
Her journey at Stanford began in 2003 in the Dean’s Office at the School of Medicine, where she spent a decade managing a wide range of high-profile projects and events, including hosting His Holiness the Dalai Lama – twice. Prior to Stanford, Kristin honed her expertise in marketing communications with several Silicon Valley tech companies.
Kristin earned her Bachelor of Science in Marketing Management from Cal Poly, Pomona, and expanded her global perspective through studies in International Business at the University of Kobenhavn, Denmark.
A native of the Bay Area, Kristin finds inspiration in creativity and the great outdoors. She embraces every opportunity to explore – whether hiking through the hills, cycling across the region or experimenting with a new art technique.
