Brittany Carlson joined the Stanford Distinguished Careers institute in November 2019.
Brittany received her B.A. in Cognitive Science and Philosophy from the University of California, Merced. Here she conducted many Eye Tracking and Response Tracking experiments measuring the cognitive advantages and disadvantages of bilingualism.
During her time at UC Merced, Brittany also took on a variety of roles and internships—the most notable of which allowed her to create a temporary art installation and enabled her to assist in the procurement of UC Merced’s first permanent mural.
Upon graduation Brittany moved to the Bay Area for a position with a consulting company within Facebook. Here she gained an appreciation for project management and team dynamics. She brings a wealth of technological expertise and will focus her efforts primarily on DCI Strategic Initiatives, including the dciX, alumni network, research, and development initiatives.
