Kristian Kender is a founding Partner in China Media Management Inc. (CMM-I), one of China’s first and longest lasting firms focused on bringing together Chinese and international media companies to create meaningful partnerships and projects.
A graduate of Ohio State University and Beijing Languages Institute, Kristian has been involved in the Chinese media industry since 1996 when he started his career at Claydon Gescher Associates, a China media focused law firm and consultancy.
Kristian joined CMM-I in 2003 as the head of its consulting practice where he was instrumental in building the China business for such clients as Sesame Workshop, National Geographic Films, ITV, All3Media, Guinness World Records, MGM and many more.
He has lived on and off (mostly on) in Beijing since 1993 onward with stints in San Jose, Hong Kong, and starting in 2020, Palo Alto.
