Hans van Alebeek enjoys helping consumer-focused companies grow and get better. He was a member of Nike’s senior leadership team for almost two decades as the company quadrupled to $36 billion revenue. He oversaw building of a scalable operational platform as Nike expanded to new geographies, brands, retail, and e-commerce. Hans also served as the Honorary Consul for The Netherlands in Portland for seven years.

He now serves on the Boards of Suitsupply, a global apparel retailer, and Bata, a global footwear company. He also invests in and advises start-up companies in the consumer space. Prior to Nike, Hans was a consultant at McKinsey and Company in Los Angeles and Amsterdam. He started his career as an analyst at an entrepreneurial company with assignments across Europe, Asia and the US. Hans holds a Doctorandus degree in Econometrics from VU University in Amsterdam and an MBA from UCLA.

Hans’ goal is to do something active every day – run, bike, row, swim, ski, squash, yoga, golf. He has dabbled in marathons and a triathlon. Besides sports, Hans enjoys traveling, learning, reading, arts, food and wine, and family time including adventures with his two daughters, who both attended Stanford, his son, a student at Colorado College, and his extended family in the Netherlands.
