Greg Davidson has had an extensive career as a corporate attorney at the international law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, including as a partner in the Palo Alto office and as co-chair of the firm’s Emerging Companies Practice Group. Greg has wide-ranging experience leading mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate finance transactions and has regularly guided public companies on corporate governance and securities laws matters. He has counseled venture capitalists and corporate strategic investors in financings and emerging growth companies in all aspects of their corporate legal requirements. Greg has played an instrumental role in high profile deals, such as representing PeopleSoft in Oracle’s hostile takeover and leading Intel’s $1.65 billion investments in Clearwire. Other representative clients have included Allergan, Qorvo (provider of radio frequency solutions), Accuray (developer of CyberKnife radiosurgery system), Ports America (port terminal operator), and Total Produce (Irish produce company).

Greg grew up in Los Angeles and attended Stanford University, where he graduated with a double major in Political Science and Economics. He earned his law degree from the University of California, Berkeley School of Law.

Greg served 10 years on the board of directors of United Way Silicon Valley (including as Chairman for his last two years). He lives in Menlo Park, California and is married to Helen Wilmot, an executive at Stanford Hospital. They have two children – a son who attends the University of Oregon, and a daughter who attends Stanford. Greg and Helen are members of the University of Oregon Parents Leadership Council, a recruited group of parents serving as advisers to university leaders.
