Darien, CT

Goran has over 30 years of experience in the securities and investment businesses, working both in the New York area and in Frankfurt, Germany. After graduating from Columbia University (with a year spent reading Economics at Cambridge University), Goran began his business career at Morgan Stanley in the then-emerging field of interest rate derivatives. After working in senior roles in trading, structuring and marketing of interest rate, currency and commodities derivatives, primarily at Goldman Sachs – and after a stint running Goldman’s German Fixed Income Currency and Commodities business – Goran transitioned to investment management, focusing on structured credit investing.

In 2002, Goran joined Lehman Brothers Private Equity (LBPE), where he formed and raised capital for one of the first “Private-Equity-Style” funds to focus on this emerging investment market. While at LBPE, he managed a number of similar funds, ultimately managing about $2 billion of capital from third-party investors as well as from Lehman itself. He recently retired as a Partner of Oak Hill Advisors, where, from 2008 to 2016, he was a Portfolio Manager and Co-head of the Corporate Structured Products Group focusing on investments in Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs). In these capacities, he managed over $2B of CLO investments, and additionally was in charge of raising, structuring and placing over a dozen CLOs in both the US and Europe from 2011 through 2016. He currently works with Strategic Value Partners, a $6.6B distressed credit investing firm.

Goran and his wife, Melinda, have two college-aged sons and they split their time between Darien, CT and Nantucket, Massachusetts.

Goran enjoys spending time on the ocean, particularly fishing and sailing, and also enjoys tennis, golf and skiing.
