Guilherme Lins was a Managing Partner of Capital Group Private Markets, leading private equity investments in Brazil and South Africa. He has served on the boards of companies in media, food, retail and education, among other sectors. This has provided him the opportunity to work alongside the founders of many of these companies, an exciting part of the job.
Prior to joining the London office of L.A.-based Capital Group companies in the year 2000, Guilherme worked in JPMorgan’s Mergers & Acquisitions team in New York and São Paulo, and before that, in European M&A with the Matuschka Group in Paris and Munich.
Guilherme grew up in France before returning to his native Brazil for high school in 1979 where he met his wife, Luciana. He received a BSc in chemical engineering from the Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro, and a graduate degree in business administration from HEC Paris. He and Luciana have lived in Switzerland for the past twenty years. They have a son and a daughter both of whom live in Europe.
He enjoys sculling and is an active member of See-Club Zug and of Club d’Aviron Vesenaz on Lake Geneva.
