Christine Roth, DCI Fellow 2024Christine Roth is the Chief Strategy Officer at Thenamaris Ships Management Inc., in Athens, Greece, one of the largest privately held shipping companies in the world.  During the nearly 13 years she has worked with Thenamaris the organization has more than doubled its vessels under management and diversified from three market segments to five.  

Prior to joining Thenamaris in 2012, Christine worked for ten years as a strategic advisor to the top management at the National Bank of Greece focused on retail banking. 

She moved to Greece in 1997 while employed with the London office of McKinsey & Company to undertake a project for what was then Olympic Airways.  Living and working in Greece had been a dream of hers since she first visited the country in 1987.   Upon completion of the firm’s initial project in Greece, she became part of the three-person leadership team that opened the Athens office of McKinsey.    

Christine commenced her career in the United Kingdom, working in brands marketing for Bass PLC, now InBev, in Leeds, North Yorkshire.    

She grew up in Wyoming, received her BSc in Business Management from Arizona State University, and her MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School.  She holds citizenship in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Greece.  She enjoys travelling, yoga, swimming in the Mediterranean, and summer days in Wyoming.
