Maggie Bedecarré has always loved being around horses and for the past ten years, she has been an accomplished amateur competitive jumper rider. She was formerly a staff member at the National Center for Equine Facilitated Therapy (NCEFT) in Woodside, CA where she managed horses in both the hippotherapy and veterans programs.
Maggie received a bachelor’s degree in American Studies from Wheaton College in Norton, MA. She is also a proud alumna of the Sacred Heart Schools in Greenwich, CT and Atherton, CA. Before becoming a mother and raising three amazing children, Maggie had a career in book publishing in New York where she held a number of positions at Praeger Publishers and McGraw Hill and she was Director of Publicity for the New York Times Book Company. She was also an Account Executive at BBDO Advertising.
Maggie is also a brain injury survivor. She is participating in the DCI program as part of her recovery. Her interests include the French language, equine therapy and neuroscience.
