Elliott Slade is the Managing Partner and Chief Investment Officer of Imperator Capital, a fund that invests in small and mid-capitalization public companies. Prior to the founding of Imperator Capital, Elliott spent over 20 years as an adviser to some of the world’s largest and most prestigious corporations focused on major corporate transactions and strategically solving critical business challenges. He has significant experience in mergers and acquisitions; restructurings and reorganizations; leveraged buyouts; defensive and value enhancement assignments; special committee work; and corporate governance. Elliott has advised on leading M&A transactions globally, having consummated transactions in over a dozen countries.
Elliott was a Senior Partner at James D. Wolfensohn Inc., a private investment bank. Upon the acquisition by Bankers Trust, Elliott served as a Partner and Senior Managing Director of BT Wolfensohn, and headed the firm’s consumer and retail merger and acquisition practices as part of the Bank’s global investment banking arm, BT Alex.Brown, and its successor organization, Deutsche Banc Alex Brown.
Elliott served on the boards of Sandy Alexander, a commercial graphics communications company, and Westfield America, one of the largest shopping center owners and developers in the United States.
Elliott has been actively involved in various philanthropic organizations primarily focused on children, education and the arts. He has served in leadership positions on numerous nonprofit boards, including the New York City Opera, National Dance Institute, Dance Theatre of Harlem and Teach for America. Prior affiliations include the Economic Club of New York, the Business Council for International Understanding, The American Australia Association, and the corporate council of the Central Park Conservancy. Elliott received a BA from Colgate University and an MBA from The Amos Tuck School of Business Administration at Dartmouth College.
